And they thought that not will be (for them) a trial, so they became blind and they became deaf. Then turned Allah to them, then (again) they became blind and they became deaf, many of them. And Allah (is) All-Seer of what they do.
thinking that no harm would befall them; and so they became blind and deaf [of heart]. Thereafter God accepted their repentance: and again many of them became blind and deaf. But God sees all that they do

They reckoned theme would be no testing, so they acted blind and deaf. Then God relented toward them; still many of them acted blind and deaf. Yet God is Observant of whatever they do.
They thought that there will be no trial, so they became blind and deaf; then Allah turned to them (with forgiveness); but again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

They thought no affliction would follow; so they acted blind and deaf. Yet Allah, in extreme mercy, accepted their repentance, but again many acted blind and deaf towards the message of Allah. Allah is observant of their actions
And they reckoned that there would be no temptation, so they were willfully blind, and they were willfully deaf, (yet) thereafter Allah relented on them; (then) thereafter they were willfully blind and they were willfully deaf, many of them; and Allah is Ever-Beholding whatever they do
They were blind and deaf in their pride, thinking themselves (to be the chosen nation of God) and thus safe from calamities. God forgave them but many of them out, of pride, again became blind and deaf. God is Well Aware of what they do
They thought that no harm would follow. Therefore, they became blind and deaf. Then, Allah accepted their repentance, but again they turned blind and deaf, many of them. Allah is watchful of what they do
They persisted in their violations thinking they could escape requital. As a consequence, they became blind and deaf to reason. But, there is plenty of room for forgiveness in Allah's Law. They took corrective actions and attained Allah's Mercy. Yet again, a great many of them faltered and fell blind and deaf. Allah is Seer of what people do
They assumed that they would never be tried (or punished). So they opted to be blind and (turned a) deaf (ear). Even then, Allah forgave them (repeatedly). Yet, most of them stayed blind and deaf. Allah observes everything they do
They thought there would be no trial (Or punishment for their actions) so they became blind and deaf; (not to see or to hear about their own actions.) yet Allah (in Mercy) turned to them; even after that, many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do
And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Seeing of what they do
And they did not consider it might be a test, so they were blind and deaf. But God would have accepted the repentance from them; but many of them were still blind and deaf. God is watcher over what they do

Then God (having guided them to waken their consciences, and turn to Him in repentance so that they could reform themselves) relented towards them (in gracious forgiveness). Then (again, in spite of that) many of them became as if blind and deaf. And God sees well all that they do

And they thought that there would be no retribution, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah forgave them, and thereafter too, many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is watchful over what they do
And they imagine, that there shall be no punishment, (for them) then they became blind and deaf, then again Allah accepted their repentance, yet again most of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is seeing their works.
They thought that they would not be tested, so they turned blind and deaf, then GOD redeemed them, but then many of them turned blind and deaf again. GOD is Seer of everything they do.
They thought there would be no trial; so they were blind and deaf. Then Allah turned towards them; then again many of them were blind and deaf. And Allah is the Seer of what they do

And they thought, that test/torture (is) not (to) be, so they became blinded/confused , and they became deaf, then God forgave on them, then they blinded/confused and they deafened many (of) them, and God (is) seeing/knowing/understanding with what they make/do/work
They were such deaf and blind that they did not even thought about the consequences of their wrongdoings. I forgave them for their wrongdoings but most of them went back to their old routines becoming deaf and blind again. God has been watching over what they have been doing
And they assumed that there will be no punishment, so they turned blind and deaf - then Allah accepted their penance, then again many of them turned blind and deaf; and Allah is seeing their deeds
And they imagined that no punishment would result from their conduct, so they became blind and deaf. But ALLAH turned to them in mercy; yet again many of them became blind and deaf; and ALLAH is Watchful of what they do
And (besides) they held the view that (killing or belying the Messengers) would not result in any torment. So they became blind and deaf. Allah, then, accepted their repentance. But most of them (again) turned blind and deaf (i.e., incapable of perceiving the truth by seeing and hearing). And Allah is Ever-Watchful of what they are doing
And they thought there would be no punishment (for them) so they willfully became blind and deaf; (then they sought Allah's pardon) then Allah turned to them (with mercy with the advent of Jesus), yet again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Watchful of what they do
They thought there will be no Fitnah (trial or punishment), so they became blind and deaf; after that Allah turned to them (with Forgiveness); yet again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is the AllSeer of what they do
And they supposed there should be no trial; but blind they were, and deaf. Then God turned towards them; then again blind they were, many of them, and deaf; and God sees the things they do
And they imagined that there should be no punishment for those crimes, and they became blind, and deaf. Then was God turned unto them; afterwards many of them again became blind and deaf; but God saw what they did
And they reckoned that there would be no disturbance; but they were blind and deaf! and then God turned again towards them: and then many amongst them were blind and deaf! but God saw what they did
And they reckoned that no harm would come of it: - but they became blind and deaf! Then was God turned unto them: then many of them again became blind and deaf! but God beheld what they did
They thought no punishment¹ would follow: they were blind and deaf. Then God turned to them in mercy, but many again were blind and deaf. God is ever observant of what they do
And they thought that it will not be a tribulation so they persisted in [their] blindness and deafness then Allah accepted their repentance, then many among them reverted to [their] blindness and deafness and Allah is All-seeing about all that they do.
They presumed that there would be no affliction, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allâh turned to them in forgiveness. Afterwards many of them again became blind and deaf. And Allâh is the All-Seer of whatsoever they do.
And they counted on not being tested, so they closed their eyes and ears, then Allah turned back to them, then many of them closed their eyes and ears, and Allah sees what they do.
They thought nothing would happen to them. They became unseeing and unhearing. Allah accepted their repentance. Again, some of them became unseeing and unhearing. Allah sees all that they do.
And they thought that there would be no trial, so they turned blind and deaf. Then Allah granted them repentance and accepted it from them; then (again) many of them turned blind and deaf. But Allah is All-Seeing of whatever they do.
They thought there would be no trial, so they acted blind and deaf. [God punished them then they repented] Then Allah (God) forgave them; [then] still many of them acted blind and deaf. Yet Allah (God) is Observant of whatever they do.
And they considered there would be no infatuation, so they blinded and deafened. Then Allah repented upon them, then many among them blinded and deafened. And Allah is with what they are working, Seer.
They reckoned no harm would come to them, so they were wilfully blind and deaf [to the truth]. Thereafter, God accepted their repentance: still many of them acted blind and deaf. But God sees all that they do.
They thought there would be no harm in this; hence, they became blind (to the reality) and deaf (to the call of the Truth)! Then Allah accepted their repentance... But most of them became blind (unable to evaluate the reality) and deaf (unable to perceive) again! Allah (as the creator of their deeds) is Basir over what they do.
And (the Jews) they imagined that there would be no affliction, so they became blind and deaf (unto the Truth) ; them Allah turned to them mercifully; but again many of them became blind and deaf; and Allah sees what they do
They overlooked Allah’s test of their belief and mental leaning, and closed their hearts’ ears and their minds’ eyes and deviated from the path of righteousness. Yet Allah gave up resentment against them and pardoned their offense. Again, many of them closed their hearts’ ears and their minds’ eyes; Allah is Bassirun (Omnipresent); He sees all that they do
And they thought that there will be no affliction, therefore they became blind and deaf, then Allah turned to them (mercifully) but again many of them became blind and deaf, and Allah is a Seer of what they do.
And they reckoned that there would be no trial; and they were blind and deaf. Then God relented on them; then many amongst them were blind and deaf. But God saw what they did.
